About PINK bloom
Why PINK bloom exists
PINK bloom was founded in 2023 by yours truly, Yanira (Yani) Hurtado, a young Latina, after my own breast cancer diagnosis in October of 2021. I began by sharing my story from day one! Pink bloom grew from my desire to give back to the community that had grown so near and dear to my heart.
PINK bloom was created from lived experience.
After my own breast cancer diagnosis, I found myself longing for community in a space that felt scary, overwhelming, and lonely. I also seeked for comfort in ways I didn’t expect—something soft, thoughtful, and personal during such a difficult time.
I created what I once needed, and honestly, what I still need as a survivor.
Pink Bloom is here to support women who are navigating breast cancer, healing, and everything in between—with intention, care, and community at the center of it all.
Pink BLOOM is a registered LLC with a “charity branch” attached to it. We will ALWAYS give back in form of support and a portion of our proceeds to Breast Cancer nonprofits and organizations. Transparency with what we do will always be of upmost importance. NO Pinkwashing here!
My people
Pink Bloom began with me (Yani) and my incredible family, who have stood beside me through every step of my breast cancer journey. They are my day-ones—my caregivers, my cheerleaders, and the heart behind this work.
But Pink Bloom is also bigger than just us. It’s every previvor, survivor, thriver, supporter, and sister who has rallied with me. Together, we’re building a movement rooted in love, healing, and comunidad.
Because no one should face this alone.
